Open Water Diver
Certification Course
If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course.
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
PADI’s Online Training program is designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online or at your local PADI Dive Shop or Resort.
When you’re fitted with your scuba equipment you can begin your pool training. Your instructor will put into practice the techniques you learned in the academics program. Your training dives will be logged and approved by your instructor before you move on to open water.
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.

The AOW Diver course typically consists of one classroom session and two days of open water dives. The classroom session gives the instructor time to discuss the knowledge reviews with the student prior to doing the dives. Typically, we do three dives on the first day and two on the second but it can be spread out as needed.

The program consists of a classroom presentation followed by a written exam. You must score 75% on the exam to continue to the in-water training portion of the class.
The in-water portion of the class is conducted over 2 days. The first day you will be presented with 10 mini scenarios. These include tired diver, a panicked diver at the surface, locate a missing diver, ascent with a non-responsive diver, among others. Some of these scenarios will be done multiple times to show you different possible reactions of divers in these situations. The second day we do two large scenarios that tie all of the mini-scenarios together. Instead of handling one problem, you will conduct an entire rescue using all of the skills learned on the first day in the water.
Enriched Air Diver

The Enriched Air course can be completed in a classroom only setting. The two dives for the course are optional.
The classroom is conducted in one session and includes analyzing gas content of at least two cylinders provided by Sea 2 Sea Scuba and a written final exam. This class is typically finished in one evening. If the student opts for the additional dives, they can be conducted in a single day in open water.
Deep Diver
Certification Course

One classroom session is conducted to discuss the knowledge reviews. In this classroom session, the differences between daylight and night diving will be discussed (such as signaling). Risks and emergency procedures are also reviewed. The open water portion of the class can be conducted in one to three days. Up to three training dives can be done in a day.
